French press


Hold the barbell directly behind your head with your elbows pointing up.  Keep your upper arms stationary and extend your arms until the bar is straight over your head.

  There are also machines which mimic this movement.

Substitutions:

Lying triceps extension

Lying dumbbell extension

Overhead rope extension

One arm extension
